Jon here. Looking back these past two months of having Emma, I have come up with a list of 25 signs that show you are caring for a newborn. This also would give you a glimpse of what we have been going through....25 Signs That You or Someone is Caring for a Newborn:
1. You feel guilty that you overslept an hour totalling 4 hours of sleep.
2. Your computer hard drive is half full of pictures and video.
3. You somehow feel that you have been in a sleep deprivation experiment.
4. You have fallen asleep while feeding your baby.
5. You think that sleeping 6 hours is a great date night.
6. Your DVD collection now has a baby section.
7. You have memorized the layout of your local Wal-mart.
8. You think that a box 237 diapers is not a large amount.
9. You have experienced the 3 P's (pee, poop, & puke).
10. You have to change your baby's clothes (as well as your own) more than 5 times a day.
11. You know what SIDS stand for and have at least once been worried about it.

12. You believe that "The Diaper Genie" is the one of the best man made inventions.
13. You can change a diaper while your eyes are closed (or while sleeping).
14. You hear a cat cry and think that it's your baby crying.
15. Your shoulders hurt in conjuction with how your baby grows.
16. You wonder when does the cleaning and washing end?
17. You cheer when you hear a burp.
18. You have a new large collection of AA batteries.

19. You have mastered the art of sanitizing anything...and anyone.
20. You take credit for how people think how cute your baby is.
21. You cut your hair shorter so your baby won't pull on it.
22. You love having your parents around...so they can care for their grandchild.
23. You know how to maneuver a car seat.
24. You expand your vocabulary with cute blabber.
and lastly...
25. You wonder with joy how you ever gone through life without all this.
