Found this picture that best described our move two Saturdays ago. Photo courtesy of Tessellar. The picture really describes it all. Many people literally carrying our home on their backs. It’s weird these past two weeks, because it feels like we’ve been there for months. We already feel settled in our apartment. The living room is not filled with boxes stacked to the ceiling. We’re at home. Right now, we are in the process of fixing up the baby’s room.
We were so blessed by the kindness that our friends showed in helping us move. Mucho thanks to Mr. Kwong, Ted, Benjamaniac, Ipster, Earl, Nancy, Ayemi In-Sein, Kuya Mike, Dad, Christina, Drew, Jennifer, Allan, & Sandi for giving to us your time and energy. At the end of the day, not only did they help us move, but they helped us settle in by setting up the bed, hanging the clothes, unpacking the boxes, installing the curtains & putting up the pictures. They especially ministered to Lola so that she didn’t have to move or unpack much. When I came back that same evening to our home, we were pretty much settled in.
Ted saved the day by bringing his shoulder dolly. Poor guys, he and Steve lifted most of the heavy objects and furniture. Not one complaint. Ayemi got us Boba. Christina brought over lunch. Everyone chipped in. Most of all, we just enjoyed their company.
